Waking To The Sun

May 25, 2009

Microfantasy Monday this week brought to you by the lovely Sweltering Celt – theme: Sunshine.

Realizing he must have dozed off, he felt something had changed. The room was no longer as cold, although the floor beneath his cheek still seemed to suck the heat out of him, the other side of his face felt warm . He remembered how the sounds had echoed during the night, the slap of leather ringing hollowly. The room must have a large window. He made an attempt to stretch out, to relieve his cramped position within the confines of the ropes. With no idea how much time had passed, he realized that it must be daytime. The sunlight began to warm his back, adding heat to the welts across his butt and thighs. Soon she would return, as promised, after she had her breakfast.
